Tily Eto Madagasikara
The Tily eto Madagasikara, founded in 1924, is a association affiliated to the World Scout Bureau. This movement, connected with the Malagasy Presbyterian, Lutheran, Episcopalian and Independent protestant churches, is a member of the Malagasy Scout Federation.
According to statistics, we have among 18.000 members in our association and, with our guide sisters inside The Mpanazava sy Tily eto Madagasikara; we represent the most important scout movement in our country (in the east of Africa)
- In 1924, the Association named « Eclaireurs Unionistes de France » was found in Madagascar.
It was found by Jean Beigbeder, who is the Assistant National Commissioner of Eclaireurs Unionistes of France.
- In 1948, Marc Andre Ledoux or Chef Mamy who introduced the Scout association to the church body of Madagascar. He got the permission to plant scouts in the churches, so the association were called « Tily eto Madagasikara »
- In 1959, establishment of the 1st Malagasy Head Quarter and National Team

- In 1964, the girls scout was introduced and named « Mpanazava eto Madagasikara »We have a knot with out French partner the Eclaireuses et Eclaireurs Unionistes de France. Indeed, our association was a branch of this one before Madagascar got its independence in 1960.
They were recognized by the World Bureau in 1960. In January 1998, the membership is 8,857 registered Scouts.
The « Mpanazava and Tily of Madagasikara » were introduced into the following churches:
