Mpanazava Eto Madagasikara
Girl guiding started in 1941. In 1960, the name of the association became Mpanazava Eto Madagasikara (MEM). The association is full Member of the World Association of Girls Guides and Girls Scouts.
MEM is an Association providing non-formal education where girls and young women develop leadership and life skills through self-development, challenge and adventure, using the method scout.
MEM has its own uniform.
MEMBERSHIP
MEM recognized Association of public utility by the Ministry of Sports, Culture, and Hobbies Madagascar
15 000 members left again in all the island (22 areas)
Girl Membership:
- From 6 to 12 years: Voronkely (Brownies)
- From 12 to 16 years: Mpanazava (Guides)
- From 16 years and more: Afo (Rangers)
